Who was Marcia Mills?
Marcia was a daughter, a sister, a cousin, an aunt, and a friend. She had special needs - language delays and struggles in social and academic situations. Yet, she had admirable qualities. She loved people, especially children.
Despite her struggles, she was abled and efficient in ways that some people only dream of. Marcia had a reliable memory and exhibited an incredibly special love for children. Although she bore no children of her own, she was a mother indeed to many. Marcia exhibited kindness, loyalty, love, steadfastness, and faithfulness. She was reliable, trustworthy, God-fearing, and family oriented.
After many trips to the hospital and various procedures and efforts to keep her alive, Marcia grew tired and weak. She could not hold on any longer. She died on her birthday, on September 30, 2012.
Marcia spread love and kindness wherever she went. So, The Marcia Mills Foundation is continuing her legacy of love by helping children, youths and young women with special needs.
